Mr. Gary Linville Founder/President U.B.A.D. Motorcycle Association, Inc. Route 3, Box 276-E Mt. Vernon, KY 40456 Mr. Linville: Please accept my regrets for not being able to attend the kick-off celebration of the UNITE Bikers Against Drugs Motorcycle Association, Inc. In a very short period of time you have made tremendous strides in mobilizing an important segment of our population in the anti-drug effort. I wish to extend my strongest and continuing support for UBAD’s mission -- to promote an anti-drug message through education, treatment, law enforcement and faith-based ministry. The diversity of your membership and affiliated organizations speaks volumes for the potential impact UBAD can have in our communities. Whether law enforcement officers or recovering addicts, business leaders or blue-collar workers, church leaders or those without a religious home, health care professionals or concerned citizens, your organization has banded together with a common interest – a love for our great outdoors and the feel of the open road – and a desire to stop the staggering spread of substance abuse. Your purpose is noble. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Your faith is inspiring. And your vision is clear. UBAD has many events planned this summer; some just for fun, but others to raise funds and awareness of tremendously important and worthwhile efforts. I wish you great success. Sincerely, Harold Rogers Member of Congress Kentucky’s 5th District |
